In 2023 the Tuesday Workshops will resume.
Following on from the taster sessions that went so well (thank you and very well done to everyone who has come along so far!) the Key Elements themes will continue 10am to 1pm weekly, £20 per session: -
10th Jan Drawing Techniques: Perspective, Proportion, Distance…
17th Jan Painting/Drawing: Bringing the Everyday to Life
24th Jan Flesh – Bring out your inner Rubens, Freud, Jenny Saville...
31st Jan Palimpsest and Pentimenti: If you want a surprise, resist googling! For this session, please bring an object or photograph (of your own or from a magazine) that interests you.
From 12th Jan there will also be a weekly Thursday session 9-30am to 12-30pm: -
‘An Introduction to Oil Painting’.
An opportunity to develop your skills with oils: surfaces, grounds, properties of oil paint and solvents (with a non-toxic alternative to turps available), underpainting and colour mixing.
Paint and thinners/mixers, oil painting paper will be provided as well as palette knives and brushes but bring your own brushes if you prefer.
This will be £25 per session.
There will be no catering available in January while Cherries Café is closed for construction of the staircase. However, I can sustain you with tea, coffee, water, and biscuits.
Please email me on [email protected] if you would like to reserve a place on any particular session.
Happy New Year and keep painting!
